E.T

scene 1 costume in this scene everyone is in Halloween costumes, even E.T this is comical as everyone is dressed in supernatural costumes but there is actually an alien there creating a sense of mystery. The audience know an alien there but the characters and citizens are unaware. Michael is dressed up in a soldier with a sward through his head, Eliot is dressed up the hunch back of Notre dame and lastly E.T is dressed up as a ghost, this allows him to not be seen as act as if he is the youngest sibling, Gertie. this allows them to sneak E.T to the wood without anyone knowing. All of the citizens are dress in Halloween costumes, this allows people to see how popular Halloween is in America. seeing his England and other countries started to recognise this as a holiday, showing how much influence film and E.T had on people. Scene 1 “singin in the rain” Costume/ props  There are 2 main people in this scene, Cathy and don, Cathy is wearing a coat and a hat, the coat is gold and the hat is purple, these colours are glamorous and have connotation with Hollywood fashion, one that is high maintenance and idolised, perhaps her costume shows us hoe Don perceives her a a beautiful glamorous woman. Don is wearing a suit which is in black, a hat, everything he is wearing is monotone and bland compared to Cathy’s colourful outfit, this could be showing the corruption of Hollywood and how it has effected don, whereas Cathy who doesn’t like the holly wood life she is bright and colourful this is a massive juxtaposition between these characters costumes. There is one main prop used in this scene, the umbrella, he uses this to show the freedom he feels, he doesn’t use it and instead sings in the rain, he acts this way as Cathy kissed him therefor its as if nothing will effect or hurt him again, loves the wor

In the first scene we are introduced to the character of Charlie Chaplin, who is walking in the blizzard although we don't know here to. we also see another character is is near a tent and is celebrating.       Firstly Charlie is wearing man up, he is has a white place face and blackened eyes visibly and moustache on the character of Charlie Chaplin. This moustache is a key feature of Charlie and this allows people to point him out as not many people or characters look like him, also perhaps making him seem more unusual and weird to the audience straight away allowing them to think he is a comedic character. It also suggest that he is an old fashioned person. He is wearing an old torn suit, a smart hat, he has a walking stick and a bag with as it seems all of his possessions inside it, from this the audience can gather that he is trying to be a smart well put together person but as its torn and old looking the it could suggest that he has a lack of funds. He also has a bag wit
